In the meantime, a former FBI agent says that authorities have probably already named a suspect in Gabby Petito’s death, although the person has yet to be named publicly. This comes as the Teton County coroner reveals that Petito died of manual strangulation.
So far, 23-year-old Brian Laundrie has been named a person of interest in Petito’s death, but now that her death is known to be caused by strangulation, authorities may have named him as a suspect behind closed doors to a grand jury.

This new information comes as a former medical examiner says the FBI's decision to keep possession of Gabby Petito's remains and failure to release the cause of death is unusual. Retired New York City Chief Medical Examiner and forensic pathologist Michael Baden tells Fox News that he sees no reason to keep the "whole body" from the family. Currently, the remains are still in federal custody.

Investigators believe he stabbed Bailey 114 times. The former classmates had grown up in the same neighborhood but it does not appear that Fucci targeted Bailey specifically, though friends later said Fucci claimed he would kill someone in the near future. Surveillance video appears to show the pair walking together early the morning of May 9. Fucci is later seen running, alone, from the same area.

A Wisconsin woman is charged with fatally poisoning a disabled friend after stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the victim. Jessy Kurczewski, 37, had reportedly called police to the victim’s Pewaukee home, claiming the woman was not breathing. A Waukesha County deputy who responded to the home found the deceased woman lying in a recliner with a large quantity of crushed-up medication on her chest and on a plate located next to her.
An autopsy report revealed that the woman had a fatal concentration of tetrahydrozoline in her system when she died. The medical examiner also determined that the amount of tetrahydrozoline in her blood could not have come from using it in the eyes.

Murdaugh Mom and Son Murders Still a Mystery
Who shot and killed two members of a prominent South Carolina family is still under investigation. Paul Murdaugh, 22, and his mother, Maggie Murdaugh, 52, were found shot to death on June 7 at their family’s hunting lodge in Colleton County, South Carolina. Alex Murdaugh – Paul’s father and Maggie’s husband – discovered the bodies that evening after returning to the property. The victims, who were located outside the residence, had multiple gunshot wounds. No suspects have been named.

The parents of a 10-year-old Arizona girl have been charged with murder after the girl’s remains were found in an attic after a house fire— three years after the girl disappeared. An investigation began when an 11-year-old girl called police and said she’d been left in her Phoenix home alone for two days and was hungry. Authorities said the girl reported that she’d been neglected and abused by her adoptive parents Maribel Loera, 51, and Rafael Loera, 57. She said that Maribel Loera was in Minnesota with two siblings, a 4-year-old boy, and a 9-year-old girl.
The girl told investigators that Maribel struck her with knotted extension cords, and officials said she had injuries that were consistent with being struck by a “rope-like object.” She also told officials she had an older sister who vanished in 2017. She said that Maribel told her the girl was adopted and sent to Columbia, but Rafael said she was sent to Mexico.

Three US Moms' Deadly Plastic Surgery, South of the Border
A California woman has died and two other people were seriously injured after getting plastic surgery at the same Mexican facility on the same day. The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that the woman who died, Keuana Weaver, 38, and two other women had procedures performed by Dr. Jesús Manuel Báez López at the Art Siluette Aesthetic Surgery in Tijuana. According to Mexican officials, Weaver died of “secondary hypoxic encephalopathy,” or damage to her nervous system due to deficient oxygen or blood. Baja California authorities confirmed to the Union-Tribune that they are investigating Weaver’s death. Dr. López has not yet publicly commented on the incident.
